Blankingship & Keith maintains an active summer associate program for students who have completed their second year of law school. Our program offers summer associates a realistic look at the practice of law at Blankingship & Keith through a variety of experiences. Summer associates work with multiple practice groups to try new areas of the law and to ensure that the summer associate has the opportunity to make informed decisions regarding a long-term career path. For those summer associates interested in litigation and who have obtained a third year practice certificate, we look for opportunities for the summer associate to argue motions in court.
A summer associate can expect to conduct legal research and to produce substantive written work product. We encourage our summer associates to experience the practical aspects of our practice and to observe interesting oral arguments and to attend client meetings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
