Blankingship & Keith scored a win for the Lamb Center and Wesley Housing for a first of its kind project in the City of Fairfax, converting a local motel to provide permanent supportive low-income housing.
“Our firm has a long history of pro bono service to the Lamb Center in its critical mission of helping the economically disadvantaged in Fairfax,” said Giff Hampshire, a partner with considerable expertise in land use matters. “We are excited to see this worthy project come to fruition as a small part of the solution to local homelessness.”
“We are grateful for the ongoing friendship and collaboration with Blankingship & Keith and Giff Hampshire,” commented Tara Ruszkowski, Executive Director of the Lamb Center. “Giff’s extraordinary work helped to shepherd this project to unanimous support. This first permanent supportive housing project in the City of Fairfax will be important step in combating homelessness.”
The project required multiple hearings and approval was uncertain until the last minute.
