William B. Porter is new president of Northern Virginia chapter of Federal Bar Association
William B. Porter, managing principal of the law firm of Blankingship & Keith, P.C., is the new president of the Northern Virginia chapter of the Federal Bar Association for the 2018–2019 term. He has been on the board of directors of the chapter since 2013.
Porter represents corporate and individual clients in a wide variety of civil and commercial matters, and he has appeared in proceedings before the state courts of every jurisdiction in Northern Virginia and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He is a past member of the faculty of the Virginia State Bar Harry L. Carrico Professionalism Course and a former bar council representative for 19th Judicial Circuit. He served as president of the Young Lawyers Division of the Fairfax Bar Association from 2001-2002.
Porter graduated with honors from the George Mason University School of Law and received his undergraduate degree from Randolph-Macon College. After law school, he clerked for the Honorable Arthur B. Vieregg of the 19th Judicial Circuit of Virginia.
