Blankingship & Keith Recognized for MULTI-Million-dollar Settlements

FAIRFAX, VA (Feb. 12, 2014) – Blankingship & Keith, P.C. is proud to share the news that Virginia Lawyers Weekly has ranked five of its 2013 legal settlements among the top 50 in the Commonwealth. Additionally, VLW ranked three of the firm’s cases among the five largest personal injury settlements in the Northern Virginia area.
The magazine’s survey of legal settlements is an annual compilation of settlements throughout Virginia that are greater than a million dollars, reached during the past calendar year and have a strong Virginia component.
Blankingship’s attorneys involved in the million-dollar settlements recognized in this year’s VLW survey are principals, Peter S. Everett, Robert J. Stoney, Mark A. Towery and Chidi I. James, and associate Jessica L. Sura, all of whom are members of the firm’s Personal Injury Litigation Group.

The plaintiff in four of these cases suffered a traumatic brain injury, an area of interest to the Blankingship & Keith’s personal injury team. “Mild brain injury cases are particularly challenging, because the cognitive, physical and psychological problems may not be apparent to those not close to the victims,” Everett added.
