New Associate Strengthens Family Law Practice
Blankingship & Keith, P.C. Welcomes Super Lawyers Rising Star, Mary C. Huff to Family Law Practice
Blankingship & Keith, P.C. is pleased to announced Mary C. Huff has joined the firm’s growing Family Law Practice as its newest associate attorney.
“Mary combines expert legal skills with a real-life understanding of the complex personal and legal challenges families in crisis face,” said William B. Porter, Blankingship & Keith managing principal. “She’s an active member of the Fairfax County Bar Association’s Family Law Section, has worked as a domestic violence intake counselor in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, and is licensed to practice in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.”
Mary will be joining the firm’s expanding Family Law practice in Fairfax, Virginia, bringing the total number of family law attorneys to six.
Prior to Blankingship & Keith, Mary practiced domestic relations and general civil litigation in Northern Virginia and in the District of Columbia. She has been named a Virginia and District of Columbia Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2016 and 2017.
Mary is active in the legal community serving as the Fairfax County Bar Association Family Law Section Co-Chair; a Board Member for the Young Lawyers Section; and the volunteer coordinator for the Fairfax Law Foundation annual 5K race. Mary also serves as a mentor for the Northern Virginia Pro Bono Law Center. She is a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the District of Columbia Bar Association, the Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia, and the Montgomery County Bar Association.
Mary earned her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude in 2010, from the American University College of Law. She was admitted to the Maryland bar in 2010 and the Virginia and District of Columbia bars in 2011. In addition to her Juris Doctor, Mary has a BA in Political Science and Psychology from The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
