Blankingship & Keith Supports Prince William County's "Beat the Odds" Program, Honors Exceptional Youth

Blankingship & Keith, a longtime supporter of the Prince William County Bar Foundation and the Prince William County Bar Association, proudly participated in the annual "Beat the Odds" celebration and awards banquet. The event, held on May 24, 2023, at the picturesque Old Hickory Golf Club in Woodbridge, recognized extraordinary young individuals who have triumphed over adversity.

This year's recipient of the prestigious Blankingship & Keith Scholarship started his academic journey as an ESOL student. Motivated by his hard-working parents, who learned English alongside him, he overcame tremendous odds to achieve academic success. Although he plans to enter the Marines, he was accepted into multiple schools before making his decision to pursue a military career.

The "Beat the Odds" program, modeled after the Children's Defense Fund's national initiative, acknowledges local youth who have encountered the Prince William County juvenile justice system but have shown remarkable academic and social progress. Thanks to the Prince William County Bar Foundation's financial support, $40,000 in scholarships and awards were presented to deserving young individuals, inspiring them and others in similar circumstances to strive for success.
