Blankingship & Keith, P.C. has added two new attorneys to the firm. Michael McAdoo has joined the firm’s Wills, Trust and Estates, and Commercial Real Estate and Leasing practices as senior counsel. Patrick B. Piccolo has joined Blankingship & Keith’s Civil Litigation practice as an associate.

“Mike and Pat are both talented attorneys who understand how to provide the kind of client service and counsel on which Blankingship & Keith has built its reputation, and will help strengthen and grow our national practice,” said William B. Porter, Blankingship & Keith’s managing principal. “We are thrilled to have them both on board.”

McAdoo’s commercial real estate practice emphasizes representing institutional lenders and owners in secured lending transactions. His Wills, Trusts and Estates practice focuses on family estate planning, including wealth transfer planning and trust and estate administration. McAdoo received his BA cum laude and JD degrees from the University of Virginia. He is active in various community and charitable organizations, and serves as an advisor, fiduciary or director for several family, charitable and business organizations. He is a member of the American Bar Association (Real Property, Estate and Trust Law Section), Virginia State Bar (Trust and Estate Section), Maryland Bar Association, District of Columbia Bar and Alexandria Bar Association.

Piccolo’s practice focuses on civil litigation. He earned his BA and JD degrees from the University of Virginia. After graduation, he completed a clerkship with the Honorable Daniel Ortiz of the Fairfax County Circuit Court. He has done pro bono work for the Legal Aid Justice Center and is currently a youth ministry volunteer for St. Theresa Parish in Ashburn, Virginia. Piccolo is a member of the Virginia State Bar.

Last year, the firm added nine new attorneys. The firm continues with its growth strategy in 2018 with the addition of McAdoo and Piccolo as well as Adam Smith, who joined the firm earlier this month.
