Barkley Horn Receives Prestigious Trial Attorney Scholarship from the Arlington County Bar Association and Arlington County Bar Foundation

On October 14, Barkley received the Trial Attorney Scholarship award from the Arlington County Bar Association and the Arlington County Bar Foundation, granting her the opportunity to attend the UVA Trial College in January 2025.

As part of this scholarship, she also had the privilege of attending Professor Mike Davis's “Reality Trial CLE” on the same day, where the award was presented. The scholarship award is named in memory of Bill Dolan, an exceptional trial attorney often referred to as the “lawyer’s lawyer.” Bill was deeply committed to improving the legal profession and was equally devoted to his family. Barkley had the opportunity to meet Bill’s partner, Jean Statler, at the ceremony.

Barkley also had the opportunity to connect with one of her first legal employers and trial ad coach, Bill Turner at the ceremony.

She is very thankful for all of the support she has received in her legal career so far and looks forward to the trial college.
