Matthew P. Tsun

Matthew Tsun focuses his practice on representing individuals who have been injured by the carelessness of others. He has extensive experience handling complex cases with serious injuries to his clients. Many of his cases have involved hotly contested issues on liability and damages, and so Matt brings a wealth of knowledge and creative solutions to all of his clients.  He is intimately familiar with all phases of personal injury cases, both pre-litigation and in litigation, and advocates aggressively for his clients.

Prior to joining Blankingship & Keith, Matt practiced with a personal injury firm in Washington, DC where he obtained successful results for over 500 clients.

In law school, Matt was heavily involved with the Emory University School of Law Moot Court Society. He was selected to compete in both the American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Competition and the New York City Bar National Moot Court Competition. For his excellence in oral advocacy, Matt was selected to the Order of the Barristers.

Representative Cases

  • Secured a $4.4 million jury verdict for a client injured in a collision caused by a dump truck towing a trailer with missing brake components. The case involved claims against the truck company, its driver, and the inspection company responsible for the faulty brake inspection.
  • Secured a $4.2 million settlement for the family of a college student who died from alcohol-related hazing at a fraternity event. A portion of the settlement supports the family’s foundation, which promotes anti-hazing education and awareness initiatives nationwide.
  • Secured a $3,250,000 settlement for the estate of a 16-year-old boy who tragically lost his life in a construction trench collapse, holding the construction company, its manager, and the property owner accountable for negligence and unsafe conditions.
  • Secured a $1.475 million settlement for a client who tripped on a dangerous sidewalk outside of a movie theater.  The owner had knowingly allowed the sidewalk to sink which caused the hazard.
