Aneta Nikolic’s practice focuses primarily on medical malpractice defense and civil litigation.
She represents institutional and individual healthcare providers in Virginia and Washington, D.C. in all aspects of litigation, including taking and defending depositions, motions practice, and negotiating favorable settlements. In addition to litigation, Aneta counsels clients regarding credentialing and disciplinary issues, consent issues, capacity issues, patient privacy, and general risk management matters.
As part of her civil litigation practice, Aneta also regularly represents petitioners in connection with petitions to appoint guardians and conservators for incapacitated adults. In addition, Aneta has represented and assisted clients in administrative education proceedings, employment discrimination investigations, and miscellaneous employment litigation issues. She represents clients in both state and federal courts.
A Fairfax native, Aneta earned her B.A. in psychology from James Madison University in 2013 and her J.D. from William & Mary Law School in 2017. Prior to joining the firm, Aneta completed a clerkship with the Honorable Daniel E. Ortiz at Fairfax County Circuit Court.
